It is effective in Class A and B fires. When used, the foam covers the burning material, cutting off oxygen and extinguishing the fire. Due to this property, it is especially effective in gasoline/diesel fires and is the preferred fire extinguisher in fuel terminals, filling stations, or thinner/paint storage areas. Since it is water-based, it must never be used on electrical fires! Given that a significant portion of fires in our country are caused by electrical panels and transformers, relying solely on this extinguisher in such environments is highly dangerous.

Low-expansion foam extinguishing systems can be applied in specific fire situations involving flammable and combustible liquids, such as tanker filling or fuel stations. High-expansion foams are used in places where it is necessary to fill the area with foam and prevent contact between the fire and air.
