As is well known, fires are classified into three main types: A, B, and C, with extinguishing materials specifically formulated for each class. Dry chemical powder extinguishers are enhanced with specialized additives that improve fluidity, water resistance, and protective capabilities. ABC dry chemical powders are particularly effective in fires with normal or moderately low temperatures where extreme heat is not present. In high-temperature fire scenarios, these extinguishers should be used as supplementary systems rather than primary solutions. Suitable for both automatic and manual operation, dry chemical extinguishers deliver excellent results when used independently for fires within their capacity range. Their key mechanism is the smothering effect - the ammonium phosphate composition forms a glass-like layer over flames, cutting off oxygen supply and thereby controlling the fire.
